How to export content to your twitter account

You can add feeds to your Twitter account from many different sources and you can do it several different ways.

  1. Adding a RSS feed from your website to Twitter: One of the easiest ways to do this is by using WordPress as your website CMS (Content Management System) and the plugin TwitterPost – another way is with a website like http://twitterfeed.com Twitter Feed as well as the plugin TwitterPost allows you to automate your postings and send them directly to your Twitter accountThe address/URL of your feed will vary, depending on the blogging platform used, but you can usually find it in one of these ways:
    • Depending on the web browser you’re using, you may see an icon like this: Rss_16 or this: Rss_safari on the right-hand side of the address bar. Clicking on this will open your RSS feed.
    • Your website or blog may contain a button with the label “RSS”, “Atom”, “Syndicate”, or similar, or with the above feed icon.
    • If you get multiple choices of feeds, select either RSS 2.0 or Atom format, as these are the most likely to work with twitterfeed.
    • If all else fails, you may want to check the documentation of the blogging platform/software you are using – this should tell you how to get your feed URL.
  2. Adding a RSS feed from someone else’s website to Twitter: Submitting any feed to your Twitter account is very easy and can be done using a service like TwitterFeed (as posted above).
  3. Adding a RSS feed from your Facebook to Twitter: You can export your facebook status information to Twitter by simpily going to http://www.facebook.com/twitter/ and connecting your facebook account to a designated Twitter account.
  4. Adding a RSS feed from your MySpace to Twitter: Exporting your data from MySpace to Twitter is almost as easy as it is with facebook. All you have to do is visit http://www.myspace.com/sync and hit the “sync Now” button to connect the two sites together.
