SEO Smart Links Plugin for WordPress

SEO Smart Links provides automatic SEO benefits for your site in addition to custom keyword lists, nofollow and much more. SEO Smart Links can automatically link keywords and keyword phrases in your posts and comments with corresponding posts, pages, categories and tags on your blog. Further SEO Smart links allows you to set up your own keywords and set of matching URLs. Finally SEO Smart links allows you to set nofollow attribute and open links in new window. It is a perfect solution to get your blog posts interlinked or add affiliate links to other sites. Everything happens completely transparent, and you can edit the options from the administration settings panel.

WordPress Plugin SEO Links Plugin

SEO Smart Links looks for keyword phrases that match the titles of your posts and pages by default (and you can enable categories and tags matching too). These phrases are then turned into the links. The matching is case insensitive and the original case is preserved. So If I mention Amazing Grace, which is my theme and also the title of one of my pages, it will be automatically converted into a link. Everything happens completely transparent, and you can edit the options from the administration settings panel.

SEO Smart Links allows you to interlink the content on your WordPress site automatically. For example if I mention my wordpress theme Amazing Grace, it will be automatically linked to the matching page on my blog. You can edit the option what you want to be parsed for possible links (posts, pages and comments) and what should the plugin target with keywords (posts, pages, categories and tags). Category Search allows you to add category names to your search results. For example if you have 200 categories and you wanted them to appear in search results, you couldn’t. Now you are able to include those categories as well.

Why use No-Follow Links

As long as search engines are concerned, on most blogs category pages will carry irrelevant information since category names are likely to be too general to rank for (like my categories WordPress, SEO etc.)

Category pages are source of duplicate content

No-follow links allow you to direct the flow of your link equity to the pages or websites that you want to share link value with.

In-site linking is extremely important as it tells search engines what pages have the highest level of importance to you. Its for this very reason that tags are very important for any blog.

You can find this SEO Link Wordpress Plugin at WordPress

How to use the WordPress plugin – SEO Smart Links

Just install activate it on your blog. Default options are enough to get you going. If you want to tweak it, you can always edit the options. Be sure to check “ignore” options where you can state what keywords and phrases not to link.

= How do I enable SEO Smart Links cache?

Make sure you have enabled WordPress cache by adding this line to your wp-config.php

define(ENABLE_CACHE, true);
Please be careful when editing this file and always make a backup!

SEO Smart Links Installation Instructions

Upload the whole plugin folder to your /wp-content/plugins/ folder.

Go to the Plugins page and activate the plugin.

Use the Options page to change your options

That is all. You can check your posts for new links.

Google Goes Mobile

Long are the days when Google was know to the world as just the search engine. Now Google has put almost all of its effort into its mobile devices and not as much into search for computers. The search engine is gearing more towards mobile devices and personalizing itself to you specifically. The latest thing that Google has done to get in the news was the addition of the “Near Me Now” feature.

This allows Google to tap into the GPS functionality of your mobile device and show results only near you at the time of the search. This is great for directions to your local pub, restaurant, library, or grocery store. But has Google been putting their focus in the right place? For quite a while the greatest minds known to man have been telling us that everything is going towards mobile. Several years ago Bill Gates was telling us that everything would be moving towards the PC Tablet. And for all intensive purposes he was right. The world is going mobile and is using more bandwidth than ever before. And thanks to Micro-Blogging like Twitter, and the ability to connect your mobile device to social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace, Linkedin, and others you are seeing an increase in live activity. But then things have gone another step further with the recent additions to the mobile 3G network allowing most Smart Phones to access the internet at a fast connection comparable or beating several high speed internet connections. Then the final piece of the puzzle is video and photos, we are seeing a lot more activity, photos, and video in almost real-time of events happening around the world.

Do you think the world is going crazy, or just plain mobile?

If you are one who wonders what new sort of strategies the major search engines are implementing, there is more to tell you about the Bing search engine. It’s so great to see this search engine respond in such a lovely way to what the trends are and where they’re heading and also being able to have the foresight to pay attention to the feedback they get from everyday users explaining what it is they would like to see more and less of.

It seems that one constant is that users would like to get to results in a faster way somehow. Microsoft is very much interested in offering faster access to knowledge and being able to offer different user interfaces for different kinds of results and so therefore getting the search performed that much faster.

So Bing just rolled out a more “task-focused” version of their home page which upon first glance looks virtually identical. When you decide to roll over one of the major categories in the left hand side menu, you will see more option menus open up for you just by rolling over them, which will help you to narrow down your search much faster.

So if you moused over “Travel”, you could then click on the type of travel, flights, hotels, etc. From that point you can search for your inquiry and get to the point much faster. These type of great improvements are designed to make the users time valued that much more without having to burn the midnight oil for as long as well, not too mention all of the great photos they are able to input into the searches.

Watching the young Bing search engine site evolve into something unique compared to all of the other major search engines is quite enjoyable. Waiting to see what moves they will make next is always great to see. One hopes that the upgrades and changes they make are mostly helpful and noticeable to all types of surfers online to make the online experience just that much more enjoyable.

What used to be the msn video home page for quite some time is now redirected to the bing home video page. This seems to be a very smart move on the part of Microsoft because of the major efforts they seem to be putting into bing.com.

It provides a very current and helpful way to search and find videos that you are hoping to watch. This is ranging from tv shows, sports, comedy, movies music and so on. There is even a queue section for you to personalize what you want in your lineup so that you can watch it when its available. It just has a very nice polished feel and appeal to it.

Never Forget the Search Engines

No matter what new social networking websites happen to come along and do well, the one constant way that most traffic will most likely come from is through the Google search engines. When searching for a product, the most basic way for one to do this is with the Google search engine website.

I am in no way taking away from what all of the other streams of traffic can bring in, but I do know that being the top parenting indexer is something that will hardly change. The diversification of all these different ways that we can find hungry customers will always be a huge part of how one can receive a recommendation to a certain book or movie that they want to by.

In the midst of all this, it’s important to always keep googles search engine power in the fore front of our brain. If you don’t think you need to be strongly indexed in all of the major search engines, you will be losing out on so much that you could have had. In a very competitive online business like the WWW, you want to keep all of your skills and knowledge up to date and never forget.
