Windows 7 Problems Start with Students

Posted by admin

Microsoft has offered a Windows 7 upgrade for students that want to upgrade their existing system from the Vista or XP they may have to the most recently issued release of what is now know as Windows 7 for only $29. This is a very great way for Microsoft to help students out with their education as they strive to make it through their college years without much money, as many of you may be aware.

Well, students are already complaining that this “upgrade” isn’t working so well. It seems that the most common issue that is being heard so far is the students are not easily able to upgrade from their 32 bit version of Vista to the 64 bit version of Windows 7. In order to do so, it is said that it will require a clean installation of the operating system.

For other folks, there is a hang up in this downloadable option of the upgrade when it gets to a particular percentage where it won’t resume or continue on at all. So, microsoft is hard at work saying that “This appears to be a series of isolated issues that are often related to the user’s Internet provider or installed third-party software.”

It sounds like they are letting students know that the problem could sometimes be resolved by contacting the third party company Digital River helping out with these downloads. They are advised to try redownloading the operating system or that it could be a corrupt file on the computer that is messing with things.
